Having new green house delivered next week and want to lay pipe for heater for CORGI chap to connect and test to supply. I have been supplied with Kutinex rigid pipe. He told me to solder and wrap joints. Is the pipe ok being rigid, if not what is the alternative? Would it be advisable to lay it...
I will be giving a friend a hand to change a 3 port valve as it isn't working. Will I need to change the whole valve or can I change just the motor.
In either case could you let me know how to do it.
Thanks
Switched on heating but nothing warming up. On display lights the only light which is displayed is the boiler on light.

In the downstairs toilet my wife is wanting a washing machine. There is already hot and cold feed from an oldshower so I am going to bring this down for a washbasin and a washing machine connector. Am I alright with the waste going from the waste pipe into a boss on the soil pipe next to pan...
What is the likely cause of this, elderly uncle has questioned this. Don't know what make of boiler he has as he doesn't seem to know.
Please let me know ASAP, thanks
A friend of mine has just moved in to a property. When run tap, the water comes through very hot, then goes cold then goes really hot again then goes cold. What is likely to be the problem. Had a plumber round who said would need a new boiler!!!
Will it be an overheat stat or something...
I have been told my gas pipe to the meter needs an earth bonding. Where does this run from? Does it need a connection near each appliance then run on and connected near the meter. I have been told it needs to be clipped within 600mm of the gas meter, is that correct?
My overflow to my toilet is dripping. I have been told as it is an old brass ballcock fitting I should be able to replace the washer on it, how do i do it. I have looked in my DIY books but it doesn't tell me how! Or is it easier to replace the whole unit?
Comments would be much appreciated
The end with external thread and and rubber washer goes into the radiator. I tend to put PTFE tape round this as an extra measure to ensure no leaks.
The other end internal thread fits onto the rad valve connection. However this will depend what valve you have got.
