Need advice to join conservatory to flat roof

You had no replies, so what did you end up doing? I have exactly the same situation except the flat roof is the neighbors so I need to make sure whatever I use isnt going to impact their roof. I'm considering a self adhesive flashing strip. cheers

Aluflash vs Flashband for UPVC roof alongside felt roof?

Hi all, I am fixing a lean-to conservatory which abuts a flat felt covered roof. The end glazing bar runs diagonally along the flat roof facia. The flat roof has been formed into a bit of an upstand where it is in contact with the conservatory. I am looking for a self-adhesive flashing strip...

Replacement brushes for Ferm FBH 620 sds drill?

Well actually this SDS drill has done pretty well for hundreds of holes, tile stripping & small demolition work. Sometimes these almost disposable tools buck the trend & just keep on going (untill the brushes gave up).

Replacement brushes for Ferm FBH 620 sds drill?

Hi folks, I am surprised how difficult it seems to be to get a pair of replacement carbon brushes for a Ferm sds (or any) drill. Can someone please suggest a supplier. I am Newport based. cheers Rob

    Sealing lead flashing?

Thank you very much, I suspected it should have been coated with something!

    Sealing lead flashing?

Hi, I recently had a conservatory built with glass roofing rather than polycarbonate. Runoff from the lead flashing seems to leave white marks on the glass roof panes closest to the wall. Should the lead flashing have been coated with anything to reduce surface oxidation? Many thanks

    ranch style stairs

Did you ever go ahead with this? I did the same job last year with Hemlock spindles and bannisters & boxed in the stringers. Happy to post pictures if you are still considering.

    Axminster BTS10PP table saw feedback

For anyone in the market for a saw bench/ table saw, some comments on this saw which I returned. I was looking for a mid-price light trade use rated machine, very disapointed with this. Positives: rip fence locks front and back, is rock solid and has additional extruded aluminium guide with...

    Table circular saw advice

Thanks. I thought Ryobi was home DIY-focussed brand- am I wrong? The Draper I was thinking of looks very similar to the Axminster BTS10pp. Problem with the web is that most of these machines have similar specs and look similar, it is only when you see them in the flesh you can check...

    Table circular saw advice

Hi folks, I am looking for a 250mm table saw with a light trade-use rating in order to get reasonable quality and a decent, solid rip fence. The saw will be used for all the usual stuff and should preferably not be too heavy for transporting. I do not want a light domestic machine which flexes...

DeWalt cordless combi's- chuck spindle linear travel

Hi folks, two questions: I recently got a 2nd hand DeWalt 14.4v cordless combi (DC984K) to supplement my 14.4v drill driver, which I have been very happy with. In hammer mode, the chuck spindle has some spring-loaded linear travel, as you would expect with any drill in hammer mode. However...

Thanks to all for the useful advice. Silicone it is!

Bath edge plastic trim or silicone?

What about silicone, with trim for appearance? Do you get moisture trapped behind these sealing strips after a while? cheers

Bath edge plastic trim or silicone?

Hi folks, Need to seal around a new acrylic bath, against a tiled wall. I was going to silicone but was wondering whether the Homelux sealing strips are any good. They look like they would give a neat waterproof seal, but I would like some reassurance from anyone who has some experience...

Radiators on when water is heating

I posted earlier that I had exactly the same problem. From Bahco's reply, thought I would take a look at the motorised valves in the warming cuboard. Turns out the valve actuator had worked loose from the valve body due to vibration or whatever, retaining screws just about falling out, so not...
