Hi,
I have a shaver socket in our bathroom, and was wondering if there was such a thing as a hairdryer that could work off of this socket? Can't find anything on the net....
Also, I have a couple of things I'd like to plug in (charger for toothbrush and shaver) - can I get an adapter to...
Could the pump be seazing up? Mine was when I moved in - it hadn't been used for ages. I opened it up and turned it manually with a screwdriver to get it going and then it was fine.
If yours was working for 2 days and now is not, it's probably not seazed, but might be on its last legs.
Hi,
I'm about to get some Plumbeasy pipes and connectors, to fit from the mains water to my kitchen mixer taps.
They come in 15mm and 20mm diameters. Just curious - why are there 2 sizes of pipes? Different applications/uses? Which is normal for mains water supply?
Steve.
I've a leaking stop valve. How did you fix yours - replace the entire thing? Can I use one of those plastic Plumbeasy taps, or do I need to put in a brass one and solder?
Steve.
I'm trying to remove this 'Damixa' tap (pictured above) so I can replace the work surface but I'm having problems. I've unscrewed the base of the tap as much as I can, and it's exposed a very large, brass nut type thing. I can only see half of it, so can't get any spanner to it.
I've been...
Ban all sheds:- that is the kind of help I was after. Very informative and educational - thankyou. I saw that 60a Junction box on the net before I started this post, so it's good to see you recommend it.
The oven is 2250-2400W, the induction hob is 6000W.
Cheers,
Steve.
I've a single fan oven, and a seperate electric induction hob. I've got an electrician coming tomorrow to run a new connection from the main circuit breaker to the kitchen, I'll then be able to wire the hob into this new socket.
Tricky this electrical lark, ain't it?!
I was going to add the spur just below the cooker socket. So, the wire is cut just below the cooker socket. I've enought slack to remove the small length from the socket and reconnect the wire that is still connected to the main circuit breaker.
Thanks for all your help.
Really?! Let me describe it in more detail in case we're at crossed wires(!)...
There is a 10mm wire comming from the main circuit breaker of the house to the kitchen 'cooker' socket. The oven is wired from that socket, but we also want to connect a seperate hob. So... I thought you could...
