It depends if the installer used pump overun.
Sometimes if the fan isn't working to the correct speed then the boiler firing sequence will not work/cut out. The air pressure switch may prevent this.

My shower has a pull cord (in the bathroom) and then I have to also turn the dial to the ON position and then to what temp i require and then water flows. so probs my solenoid operates when i turn the dial!

I have never liked combi's. I was thinking of having one installed a year ago but they seem to be breaking down all the time according to what I have heard.
Also they are supposed to only be installed if their is sufficient pressure and flow rate in your home. So there shouldn't be a combi...
