    Part P results?

Hello, I have had some bathroom lighting fitted (mains IP65 downlights) fed from a new RCD and also an underfloor heating mat fed from the RCD backed side in an existing split load CU. Can you tell me if both these jobs require part p testing and certification and if so what documentation...

    Underfloor heating Mat Damaged

The mosaic tile covers the entire floor area including the shower tray. If we need to lift the floor containing the UFH mat we could leave the shower tray area down and retile the rest. We have already given him chance of putting work right. He sent some lad round a week or so ago who made...

    Underfloor heating Mat Damaged

Yep totally agree. We have paid him some money for work completed. We had a separate wc and bathroom knocked through etc, but the money we haven't paid yet will cover the costs of re-doing the floor to a decent standard and finish off the rest of the job. Although as this is a level access...

    Underfloor heating Mat Damaged

Hi, I am having my new bathroom installed and have had UFH fitted under my floor tiles. My bathroom fitters electrician came today to connect up my themostat and left without testing the system. I turned on the system last night (tiles have been down 7 days) to test and as soon as the...

    Toilet Slow to Refill

Hello, My cistern is taking ages to refil once flushed, there is just a slow trickle from the valve. However if the basin or bath cold tap is turned on full, even for a second, the cistern refills at a normal rate. I initially assumed the fluidmaster valve was blocked or faulty, but...

    Hot Water Not Hot!

The basin tap is a single lever mixer, the bath taps are separate hot and cold taps. Will try moving the basin mixer to cold. What will this do to help? Simon.

    Hot Water Not Hot!

Ok, makes sense. I'll 'get a man in' as they say! I think i'll try to isolate the shower first as i'm guessing that should prove the theory. Simon.

    Hot Water Not Hot!

If that is the case, why would it only happen at certain times. This doesn't seem to happen in the summer, but seems to happen almost every day in the winter?

    Hot Water Not Hot!

It is yeah. About 3 or 4 yrs old. What i haven't done and probably need to is isolate the shower and see what happens. Been putting it off because the bath panel is tiled and the missus is a bit reluctant!

    Hot Water Not Hot!

Yeah we did. He said the boiler was fine and he suspected that the shower was back feeding, but didn't explain why he came to that conclusion. I don't think this is right as its not just the shower that doesn't get hot. If the bath tap is luke warm, turning on the basin tap will make...

    Hot Water Not Hot!

It was about 6 months ago. We have had the same problem before and since the service. Is this something a decent boiler service would miss? How can i prove this?

    Hot Water Not Hot!

Hello, I have a wierd problem with my hot water. Occasionally we find that our hot water only gets luke warm. However if we're only getting luke warm water when trying to fill the bath and we trun on the shower (or hot sink tap), the shower (or sink tap) will be ice cold but the bath tap will...
