That sounds fun. No one has specified fire resistant paint thankfully. Was looking at Armstead durable. Bit expensive though at £90 for 10L.

Cheers folks. Made plinth osb3 and sat it on bed of mortar. Just don't feel right putting mortar on ply. Just feel like the mortar will crack to dust over time with natural wood movement. I must be wrong though as it's what the manufacturer instructions say .

I was wondering how to refit it. You must be right that they fitted the pipe to the board them used the flexi to connect. Only thing is the board them has to be tiled so not sure how you would go about that. I thought that little cover plate might be separate to the chrome pipe and it srews on...
