Hello,
Trying to fit a 10mm Alde Bubble leak detector into OLD 1/2" od copper pipe.
(on A boat)
Sweated 10mm tube inside old 1/2" (beautiful job!) only to find out soldered connections not allowed in LPG system.
So does anyone know of any OLD 1/2" compression fittings available anywhere ...
Thankyou for the confirmation.

The central heating circuit to the radiators is in copper, do you know if these need to be cross bonded at the boiler?
I assume not?
Thankyou Steve

Hi, I am fitting a sink in a narrowboat with a 1 1/2" waste , but the outlet is a 3/4" flexible pipe through the skin fitting.
No U bend is required as it goes straight outside.
Can anyone suggest what fitting/s are available or best way to do it ?
Thankyou Steve
Hello,

The reason I ask is that on a 'boat' I am fitting out, the pipes come to the radiator from above and it would be easier than running pipes down the side and back up into valves at bottom. Or is this a No No ?
Thankyou...
Thankyou all for your contributions ... I am much wiser now and probably going to be poorer !
If I can find someone to 'commission' it ,I will certainly ask for their gas card.
The work looks tidy and everything seems to work OK and I did provide 'inhibitor, so I assume he put it in.
P.S...
Made the mistake of not getting quotes.
Came recommended by a neice.
Charged £250 to 'swop' the boiler (I bought boiler & fittings) and connect gas hob to exsisting supply.
Took a day. Is this 'cheap' ?
Talking of which , should I get a different certificate for the GAS HOB ?
Thanks for your time ... I am now informer ,albeit a little late.
Guess what he hasnt answered his phone all week :(
(I will try from a different no, tommorrow)
All I have is a name and tel no.
Is another plumber allowed to complete the paperwork .. no doubt it will cost me!
