    it's general practice in the construction Industry. Gypsum Handbook is one of the bibles of partitioning together with other plasterboard manufactures. Usually sound insulation is thinner than normal insulation but has a bigger Density. cheers Bob

    I was thinking of installing a multi burner in my property. The only thing that is stopping me is I believe you have to be a registered installer, like gas safe, etc. otherwise insurance would not pay out if there was a problem

    when you install insulation in between studs you should leave a gap between plasterboard and insulation, otherwise the sound will vibrate through boards and through insulation. I would suggest sound insulation which is denser.

    I am trying to install 1 1/2 sink. I was supplied with various pipes. But there isn't a trap is this ok? Also want to connect washing machine waste to this system. Cheers

    My friend lent me a plug in tester. When plugged in it reads P-E Reverse. Can anybody explain what this means, Thanks

    I have bought in an extension cable and all appliances work. What is also bothering me is that when I switched the power ff for the sockets in question other working sockets went dead also. Am I right in thinking they are all on the same circuit or 2 circuits wired to one mains trip switch.

    My friend was using quite a few sockets when all of a sudden NO Power. I have had a look at the trip switches and they are all ON. I took the cover off one of the sockets and put a screwdriver tester on the Live and it lit up showing power to the socket.I put an appliance in the socket but...
