I got the dewalt drill in the end, has no problem getting through the wall but it's a big awkward drilling a clean hole due to the nature of the wall. Managed to get the bracket fitted in new holes slightly lower so the hole I made before (it would have been behind the telly and I will fill it...
I was reading this thread that was saying the big heavy powerful drills are overkill and can actually make a job more difficult so now I am wondering if this one would be more suitable:

It's less...
Would this be any good?

As I assume this would be too lightweight:

The hole is that big because I used a chisel as my hammer drill and masonry bit barely got past the plaster.
As you have probably guessed I am not all that good at DIY and I've never mixed cement before so I don't know what ratio would be best or would it not matter too much?
Hi
I was hoping someone would know how to help. My house is wimpy no fines (https://www.bisfhouse.com/wimpey-no-fines-in-situ-concrete-house/) so the external walls are loads of decent-sized pebbles and gaps. This means drilling into them is a pain in the arse and something I haven't tried much...
Ah, Sorry After D_Hailsham mentioned a wired one should work I did say I was now looking at the RT500. I don't really need a wireless stat.
Thank you very much for your help.
Thanks all.
It seems to work :?
So do I have a live, neutral and earth or is the blue actually a switched live? I have looked at the wiring for the Salus RT500 (non wireless one) and it needs a live and a switched live so if that is what I have there then is looks to be a straight swap.
