Thank you Terry. Only turned the heating system on last night for a test run so only noticed it last night. I have left it off until I get home from work then I will try it again to seen if there are any other clues. Surely a pressure vessel defect would cause a pressure drop?
Hi,
I have a Vaillant eco tech plus combi boiler.
It works okay for hot water but I am having problems with heating.
When the heating is on the system pressure starts to rise slowly. I have it set midway in the grey zone on the gauge but with the heating on it slowly creeps up through the red...
I have recently replaced an interior door but have a problem.
When not closed it swings open but I want it to swing closed.
Can anyone tell me how to achieve this?
Many thanks.
Tim.
What I was after was a 17th Edition regulation referring to what could be added to lighting circuit.
I realise that bathroom extract fans can be added to the lighting circuit but I wanted to know what the rules are.
I am working on cabins that have a 6A MCB with 1.5 mm wire feeding the main...
Can anyone tell me what the rules are regarding connecting extract fans to lighting circuits.
I was once told it was acceptable in certain situations but can find no reference in the 16th or 17th Edition regulations.
Tim.
Can anyone help me with a generator question.
If the plate on a 3 phase alternator on a genset states 88kVa 122A does that mean 122 A per phase or 122/3 A per phase?
Many thanks
Tim
Help,
I am going to be fitting a new kitchen soon.
Can I fit an under sink electric water heater and connect it to the existing socket ring circuit?
Is it legal and is it safe?
Does anyone know a good trick for adding sockets to a ring circuit without replacing the cables back to the...
Are you allowed to connect lightning protection to earth bonding system.
I work overseas and haven't got any reference books to check the 17th edition rules but I would have thought it to be a potentially dangerous practice.
I thought I had better check the facts before I tell our contractors...
I work in a place where most of our equipment is supplied by generators. As a result earthing is achieved by connection back to the generator and it's earth/neutral link.
For some reason all the generators and equipment supplied have also got earthing electrodes (rod types) fitted. I work in...
Pardon me for being a dumbass but I am not totally sure.
I am an electrician and only moved in to the house two weeks ago. Up to now I have been all electric.
I do know that I don,t have a combi boiler and the system I have got is ten years old and no longer allowed to be istalled as it is not...
I am changing a radiator.
I know I can isolate both sides with the stop valves to remove it but can I change the discharge valve to a thermostatically controlled one without draining the whole system down.
Many thanks
