The digital display disappears on the boiler. It will only stay on if I keep the power switch pressed in, the minute I let the power switch go, the boiler switches off and I lose the display.

Having problems with creaking pipes as they have been installed very close to the floorboards. I was wondering if I cut a recess into the underside of the floorboards in order to allow more pipe space wether I woud be making the floorboards unsafe in any way.

Have just read a thread which says hair felt may help. Can I get hair felt from B&Q, Focus etc or do I need to go to a Plumb Centre?

Joists are 7 inches deep and the notches are 1 inch deep

If I lay some felt inbetween the pipes and floorboards would that solve the problem?. Failing that would cutting a recess in to the underside of the floorboard work?
