    hardboard which way up?

We laid ceramic tiles in our bathroom about 4 months ago and used hardboard. Shiny side down so that the adhesive bonds to the hardboard and tiles. Make sure the hardboard is fixed firmly to the floor and doesn't move at all. This ensures a solid base that tiles will not move when fixed to it...

    Artex removal

If there is asbestos in the artex I would seriously consider getting a professional company in to remove it. This can be very expensive. There are companies out there that will test the artex for asbestos and provide you with a report.

    Tree Stumps

Has anyone got any good ideas for removing tree stumps apart from digging and pulling them up? We've moved in an old house and there are 10 large stumps to remove which if pulled out would damage walls etc.

    flat roofs and tiled roofs

We have recently replaced our flat roof with a GRP one. We have had nothing but problems with it due to leaks. It must be done on a day when it is perfectly dry and unfortunately it rained when ours was replaced so it never cured. I would go for the tiles!!
