    in my industrial unit I have a 2 gang MK outdoor switch powering two sets of lights... the two sets of lights are fed from two different breakers and such are on two different phases.... is this safe? there will be 400v at the switch!!

    well I tested with a clamp meter today and was getting about 4.2a startup then 3 or so amps running but still every so often it would trip the C6 MCB. I ended up swapping it out with a C10 MCB and have had no problems since. .... strange. .

    Solar Confusion

    A friend has just had 80 solar panels installed on his company roof to produce up to 20kw power that he plans to sell back to the grid... I'm confused though because even though it does say it can produce that much it only outputs a Max of 30.3amp from the invertor and has a 32a 3 pole breaker...

    Thanks for your reply. That's makes sense now. Bit if the cable was say 4.0mm protected by a 32amp MCB feeding machine that draws 32 or so amp then is there much point having say a 32 amp switch fuse over a standard isolator?
