Thanks for your replies. We are going for slabs and unfortunately there isn't space for 27mm+ acoustic board so we are having to use 12.5mm soundbloc which I suppose is better than nothing.

Thanks for your input. Yes it has been decided to fill the gaps with acoustic roll as sound travel seems to be the only practical downside of the way it has been left. Thanks.
