Spare a thought for the 'poor' muslims

'If you think you are suffering due to the hot weather at the moment, spare a though for the 'poor' muslims who are in the middle of ramadam and cannot drink'.

That sentence was said on a BBC news programme a couple of days ago.

1/ No one has to do it

2/ Who gives a ......

so because a very small percentage are evil you don't care about the rest ??

Surely during Ramadan, the fasting only lasts during the hours of daylight?
Further, only those at home are required to fast. Travelling Muslims are not required to fast.

Did I say anything about being evil? Why should we 'spare a thought' for someone who decides not to drink during daylight hours? They come from hot countries anyway so should be used to it.

My point is that once again the BBC just can't help bending over backwards to ram Islam down our throats. Hindus, Buddhists and Mormons also observe fasting but the BBC failed to mention them.

And what did the BBC respond when you pointed that out to them?

Just to check, you do mean it was a BBC staffer who made the comment, not some other member of the public? What was the BBC programme you were listening to when you heard it?

There are good muslims as well as bad muslims, just as there are good and bad of all cultures. It's just a matter of numbers!

I think the OP was really referring to religious practices. My opinion (as an atheist) is that all religion is tripe and that there is no such thing as superior beings (except Superman, of course), so if people want to believe in such things and make up ridiculous rules by which to live their lives, that's their own look out.

As for the BBC, we all know where their loyalties lie.

I don't know if it varies locally, but round here it's still daylight gone 10 pm. Some people I know were wanting a doggy bag (probably not an actual doggy bag as most Muslims don't keep dogs as pets) from a 'function' as they weren't able to eat until I think about 10.45 pm

TBH, I couldn't give a t*ss. Yet another loony facet of religion.

the bbc also mentioned how the chaps at the front door at the house off commons had to wear full attire and tails and stand outside in the heat yesterday but forgot to mention which religion they support
i dont know if that was a deliberate ploy or not

Why? All they do is take, and spread their stone age religion. Oh, and keep our security services at full stretch to stop them cowardly killing us and our women and children.

At this point in time, no ROP in The UK would mean zero terrorism or the the threat of terrorism. Fact. I know what I would rather have.

I actually think the BBC do those short stories on purpose to drum up distane from the general public. The BBC is the media arm of the government, and the government are intent on keeping the masses at each other to distract us from all the criminality they are involved in. Am I a conspiracy nut ? You be the judge, but anyone who doubts there is no such thing as media subversion is living with their head firmly up their own arse. There are a million and one 'stories' they can run in any given day, watch and observe the ones they choose to report and compare this against what they choose to ignore that is reported through alternative media channels, you start to see patterns.

I think it was one of the BBC weather girls. It wasn't a member of the public.

And good luck complaining to the BBC about positive racism.

I'm not big on conspiracy theories, but you have to ask what sort of collective madness has taken over European governments and the EU, whereby they deliberately destroy their own countries with an influx of highly divisive and dangerous people of a certain religion. This religion is allowed to grow and prosper way above levels that they could achieve themselves without access to Western society and their welfare, money, etc, etc. This noxious sect is allowed to perpetrate crimes without prosecution, and is made to feel that it is a special case - more important than the indigenous people for whom they show nothing but contempt. So unpopular are they, that laws have had to be introduced to slap down anyone who raises legitimate concerns.

Definitely some kind of conspiracy going on with our 'leaders'. It's carried out against the will of most right-thinking people. Whatever the point of it all, there's going to be an ever increasing price to pay. Needless to say, it won't be the people who forced this situation on society who will be doing the paying.
