SDS v. ordinary chuck

You have to be careful or you'll crack slabs dead easy. You'd be better off using a battery drill and blue Bosch multi-trade bits.

Having heard so many recommendations on here for the brand, I've ordered a Bosch GBH(Grievous Bodily Harm?)2-24DF as I mentioned above.
I found a (reputable) outlet offering it for £134 online compared to just about everywhere else at £160 or more, post-free and next day delivery. Can't ask for better than that. Should be with me tomorrow.
Just a quick update.
I ordered this yesterday and was given a (very precise - 0926 to 1026) one hour delivery slot. I received it today within those times, in perfect working order I'm happy to say.
I can't fault this company.
I'd be happy to post their name and web site on here, if anyone's interested, but I'm not sure whether that would be seen as advertising.
I know that this site is related to Screwfix, but they don't stock this particular item so, in a way, I wouldn't be helping 'the opposition'!

Nah - not advertising. My usual place quotes £139 for that drill so your place is £5 cheaper. Didn't think anywhere would beat FFX (other retailers are available) ;)
