Hi there, i am looking at putting up my new 8x6 shed this week and want to lay it on 24x24" slabs that i have.
After checking out the condition of my garden, it seems the area i want to lay the slabs is mostly clay and sand which is rather easy to dig up. Previous occupiers had raised the ground to level as all the gardens in this road slope downwards. I've also had to remove a couple of railway sleepers and at least a tonne of pebbles.
Originally i was advised that a 50mm bed of sharp sand would suffice under the slabs as the ground is compact from the clay/sand (there's also a lot of large pebbles mixed in with it) but I did wonder if that would be good enough without a proper sub base.
Any thoughts would be great
