Is this drain hose plumbed incorrectly?

I feel like this drain hose might be incorrectly plumbed. In the manual for the machine it says it should be slotted in to an opening, with some space around it (to prevent a vacuum/siphoning effect). Here it’s plumbed in directly with scree joints.

Also, should the drain hose go into the waste before or after the u-bend? I would have thought after made more sense.

Drain hose is the corrugated hose coming in from the left of the image.

Thanks for the fast reply. What about the vacuum issue mentioned in the manual for the washing machine? Is it ok here because it can pull air in from the sink drain hole?

If I wanted to put a second washing machine beside this what would I do? Do I just need to put a splitter on?

Be sure to loop the hose up to top and clip before coming down into the waste.
