So the official Tesla charger doesn't have any communications requirements, it's just a dumb charger. Basically not much different from a commando socket, just considerably more expensive! Ps there is an electrician, I was just trying to get a headstart and buy the 'bits' that are needed.

If I had simply said an outdoor socket or a commando socket, would this thread have been different? I can plug a car into a normal three pin socket with no extra conditions, so what's the difference in this?
