    there only seems to be light dust on the ply, you can see the grain in it, the hole you mentioned was caused by a screw which had gone too deeply into the ply.

    thanks for the reply, there doesn't seen to be any screed left on the ply, it seems to be well stuck to the tile. if i used a PVA or SBR in a 3in1 mix to seal the screed on bottom of the tile would i then be able to stick it back down ? and if you were in my shoes which adhesive would you use...

    Removing glue prior to tiling

    i got to take up a vinyl floor which has been glued on to a concrete floor, before tiling it. I have taken up a section finding it very hard to remove the glue before i start tiling, or is it ok to tile over the top, any ideals ??? many thanks
