    Makita 18v Li-ion 18v charging lights

I've done all the google search for this light combination but so far there's been no hits. Battery BL 1830 3AH. When placed on the charger the flashing green momentarily changes to charging solid red. It then changes back to the flashing green only. 'Power supply to charger.' The battery has...

    Blocked intercept Trap.

Guys, I've discovered that the intercept trap in my back garden is properly blocked. It's obviously been like this for years as the waste has been using the rod access pipe to reach the main sewer. I've been at the block using drain rods for a couple of days but still no joy, it feels solid...

15 mm connection for P&T valve

Before there's anymore p1ss taking I'm not installing it, I know what a 1/2 in thread is, I was looking for the 1/2 inch nut rather than a 1/2" to 15mm converter I thought this was a forum for advice not for sanctimonious halfwits

Use an indirect cylinder for emersion only

I'm planning on changing a combined tank in my flat to an unvented system I can get a bargain on an unvented cylinder but I've only got economy 7 electrical heating. It's only a small tank 125lt & they usually only come with 1 heating element. Can I use the indirect and cap off the heating coils.

    Pipe Lining

Not Flats & the roof belongs to me. The leak can only be coming from the down pipe as it bends towards the out flow. The pipe is buried into the wall and there is no way of accessing the bend. If anyone has any other ideas on how to repair I'll be listening

    Pipe Lining

I have a small damp patch that I have traced to the down-pipe from the flat roof above. The only problem is this pipe is buried into the stone work of the house and I no way of replacing it. Is there any way of lining this pipe to prevent it leaking. It's only narrow pipe and everything I've...

    Inherited garden shed problem

Thanks for that; robertw63 guessed correct the slab is square and big-all its the door and bolts that's keeping it steady. The 'door end lean' is more pronounced than the rear of the shed but I'll empty it out and see about the bracing. Is there any way to avoid obstructing the door :?:

    Inherited garden shed problem

The 8' by 6' shed I inherited in our back garden has a problem; its about 5 degrees of vertical. It's a good shed made from good wood and has been treated so shows no sign of rot. The base is on a concrete slab so I don't want to get rid of it. Is there a correct process that will correct...

    Central heating not switching off

System is a fully pumped y plan system. Potterton boiler. There is no problem with the DHW. However the central heating will not switch off, the radiators are continually hot, room thermostat makes no difference, switching CH off on the controller no difference. Only way to switch it off, is...

The fuel gauge in my Proton Jumbuck is pretty erratic. Most of the time its stuck in the same place so I have to rely on the trip meter and the low fuel warning light. The needle is stuck half way, what are the usual causes :? Thanks

    Which type of kitchen sink?

I put in a Franke Mythos fragranite and I've not had any staining issues or any problems. In fact it almost makes washing pots a pleasure. It came with the glass chopping board and the drainer. As an aside I wouldn't be without the flexible tap now; I never realised how useful it...

    Carport question

Hi I've just bought one of [img] for the side of our house and I'm not sure how it achieves a waterproof seal against the brick work :? I've never put one of these together before but I'd describe myself as a more than competent DIYer. Is flashing tape suitable to do the job :?: and...
