    Alexa on any alarm

Never mind, got it working. For those interested, the Euro 46v10 uses the standard input for keyswitch latched operation. All you have to do is connect the NO & Common on the sonoff to the 2 a inputs on the Euro 46 and connect the 2 t inputs to override the tamper. Then in the control panel set...

    Bi-folding or sliding doors?

Hi All, I am putting in patio doors in a 3800mm opening and am looking some advise based on experience. Originally my thought was to put in bi-folding aluminium doors (KAT manufacturer) instead of sliding doors as I like the idea of being able to open them right back. Where as sliding doors...

Loft joist suitability and possible strengthening due to span of the room below

Cheers for the responses. I contacted building control they said they will have to do a survey and the work will need signed off so I better do it by the book. I don’t want to affect the floor level so preferably I would like to double up if it’s an opinion, maybe with engineered joists.

Suitable support for a railway sleeper on fake fireplace.

Cheers, I am hoping to leave the top of the sleeper clear and putting the timber frame behind the sleeper to complete the chimney breast look. So you think the cemented breezblocks will be able to support the sleeper and 42" lcd ok?

Suitable support for a railway sleeper on fake fireplace.

Think I have mixed up my terminology, Odnt htink I should have said Im using the sleeper for the hearth. The sleeper will be on top of the breezblocks. I have attached a rough drawing, the chimney breast and breezblocks will be plastered but so you can see the structure I have drawn them in. Cheers.
