Thanks to all, Can the flame detection device be tested in situ if I put a volt meter on the lead what should it read. I am reading about 0.75v but am I testing it correctly. Thanks again

Hi. Thanks for your reply, the boiler is igniting the big blue flame indicates this. Can the flame detection device be checked without opening the boiler up. I have a new boiler being fitted in 6 weeks so I do not want a great expense of having this repaired if it's something simple. Thanks

Hi, Can anybody help, I run the heating or hot water the boiler ignites and after 5 second cuts out. The red light is then on after resetting the same problem happens.

Hi, The boiler in my workshop worked fine for a while but now ignites and then cuts out after about 10/15 seconds. Also there is a spark on the control board which goes down the wire to the waste outlet. I have made sure that the outlet is not blocked, Please advise, Thanks in advance

the meter is set at the back of the property.there is what i believe to be 25mm poly pipe running under my floorboards (front to back) somewhere it changes to 15 mm to fit the meter. outlet from meter is also 15 mm. Thought is to move the meter to allow me to t-off from 25mm to extension to...

Whoa! Steady doitall, I f you have seen my last posting I am trying to avoid the £1400+ water board charge and the cost of digging up my drive to a depth of 30" wich would also need a surveyor to find out what else is under there. Just to replace a supply in that is already there. :o

Thanks howy1 seems like a good reason not to do it. Thanks. Bahco, how can the system back syphon if the pressure from the burst pipe is greater than the external pressure. To back syphon surely the whole water system would have to collapse :?

surely if the pipe is at positive pressure then it would be just a burst pipe in a drain?

I don't understand the problem, the pipe will be one unjoined length and it will be the same pipe that is used by the mile to run in all circumstances by the water board . Please explain the hygiene problem! :?

Hi, Back again for more advice. Regarding my new supply, the water board will only run to my boundary, I have a sewer cover at one end of my drive and one at the other, can I, ugh, run a length of polypipe up this to remove the problem of digging my drive up. Thanks.
