    Leak from Tribune cylinder

Engineer came and confirmed immersion heater, which is on order. Said he would need to drain system as TheRealPIn5 indicated earlier. Just so I can keep him honest, would he have to drain from the point ringed in the picture? Thanks

    Leak from Tribune cylinder

Thanks for the reply. I now think it's the lower immersion heater as a touch around and underneath confirms a slightly greasy wetness on the fingers whilst around the filling loop area is dry. I have both central heating and plumbing/drainage cover - which policy would you think would cover...

    Leak from Tribune cylinder

Hi I have a Tribune unvented tank as can be seen from the attached pictures. I am getting frequent leaks/water drops from the set up but I am not able to determine where it is coming from. I believe the most likely source is the lower immersion heater. How does one fix this please? It...

    Water down tundish

Hi, can I have some advice please? Water is being expelled down the tundish B on my sealed system. The pressure vessel A was replaced about a year ago and is holding pressure, and sounds empty and hollow, so I don't think it's the PV. The water expelled is cold. What could be wrong...

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

Valve Head changed. It was a worn gear/cog, causing slippage and not turning the valve fully as intended.

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

Thanks, Tony. I looked up youtube and found this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yyn_fBEH90U I tried to undo the screw but it was having none of it? Bearing in mind I have to attack it from below. What sort of screwdriver should I be using? A phillips or a flat blade?

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

So the new valve has failed? Do they spring back to the right even when there is no power connected? Here are the valves (with a dimple). Looks like there is one one screw to undo at the bottom of each valve?

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

I have turned the power off to the system (as it's the only way to stop the pump) and the valve on the left has no resistance whereas the valve on the right springs back.

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

By resistance, I meant the lever pulled to the right to the automatic position when I tried to open it manually to the left. There was no such resistance doing the same on the other Honeywell valve. The boiler was indeed constantly on whilst the pump was running, until I turned off the...

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

Thanks for the reply. The Sunvic has since been replaced by a Honeywell (as it failed and caused water damage by only I did try to manually switch off the Honeywell valve on the right to see if that would turn off the pump but I felt resistance whilst pulling the lever to the left and...

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

Sorry. It's 5 years old and been working just fine but went kaput today. So it's a boiler pcb fault?

Pump constantly on, what could be wrong?

Hi, May I have some advise please? I have a Range Tribune system, as shown here, fed by an Ideal Icos HE24. As can be seen, I have 3 circuits, bathroom radiators (no valve), upstairs and downstairs. Now the motorised pump on the tribune is on constantly, causing my...

Sunvic Two Channel Electronic Programmer Select 207XL

Yeah I got this reply as well when I complained about the 4th failure in less than 3 years. There is an inherent fault with these. I did get a replacement 207 from Sunvic though (you're not supposed to know that) but they wouldn't send me the 207XLS which I had asked for. In the...

    Sunvic Select 207XL

There is an inherent fault with the 207 XL, that's why Sunvic have replaced it with 207 XLS. I have had 3 of these 207XLs in in less than 3 years. I've replaced it since with a Siemens RWB29, even though Sunvic have given me a spare one when I complained.

What's wrong with the feed to my towel rails?

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, that used to be the case. No, I'm not. HW and GCH on at the programmer, same as before. The only thing I have changed recently is the programmer (another faulty Sunvic 207XL - the fourth in less than 3 years). Any ideas?

What's wrong with the feed to my towel rails?

I have separate upstairs and downstairs circuits, and the towel rails came on indpendently of the upstairs radiators. Just recently the towel rails would only come on when I call for heat by adjusting the upstairs thermostat. Any ideas please? Is it a valve somewhere? Thanks in...
