    Cost of gas central heating.

I've tried to calculate whether it's as cheap to run gas central heating with all the radiators on or to turn radiators off in unused rooms. The heating has been on for exactly the same times in the day. In the quarter of November, December and January 2005-6, I ran the central heating with all...

new saniflo macerator not pumping high enough

The entire run is in 22mm copper, the horizontal run is around 8 metres which should be fine as 10 metres is allowed when using a 5 metre vertical lift. What is most annoying is not being able to rule out the 5 metre vertical run issue, after allowing 50 cm for each bend on the lift it works...

    mixer kitchen sink taps

I replaced the knobs on my hot and cold mixer taps with lever type heads, but they don't work properly because they spin round instead of quarter turning. Is there anything I can buy to put on the original taps to rectify this or will I have to buy the whole taps unit?

    overheating combi boiler

We've a 2 and a half years old Potterton Performa 24 combi boiler. We've had no trouble with it until yesterday, when, even on a low temperature rating it was overheating the radiators. The dial had no effect on turning the heating down. Help please?
