We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

Great isn't it. It's our third boiler. When we had the last one installed we asked for the spaghetti junction to be sorted out and that's what they did. And swore to me they put in more additive after they finally got it to work.. and that was not the case!

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

I don't know if the speed of the pump has been altered but it was on 1 before, to stop the pumping over. The cold feed has been checked and he has fitted an on off handle to replace the wheel as it had been leaking previously.

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

No those pipes sit above the boiler. They were renewed in 2004 and I have checked them with a magnet but they seem ok ( see My Images, Pump Album> Boiler)

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

Four hours. He took out the pump and connected it there. He did put a chemical (Fernox Heavy Duty Restorer - well that label is on the boiler) in to flush it and then sentinel

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

Is it still called pumping over when it goes up the FE vent? When I switched off the hot water at the boiler it went cool again. We wondered about the Magnaclean but the problem would be where to install it.

Replacement for Mira Advance shower (9kw plus)

Thanks, we wondered about the sport, but will have to probably use the existing rail and our new white hose.

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

Thanks for that. he will have to come back as one of the rads is only hot at the top. Today I looked in the airing cupboard while the hot water only was on and both pipes were cool. Then I heard a lot of trickling coming from the pipes (I could not identify which one) and suddenly the feed...

Replacement for Mira Advance shower (9kw plus)

We've had this shower since 2001(!) and are unable to replace the hose, despite Mira sending us a chrome adapter to fit on a white pvc Response hose (water pours out from the shower) We need an equivalent shower but all white. We do not have chrome fittings in our ensuite. Does anyone...

We've been powerflushed - but can you plse answer this?

Our ch pump packed in in November, we had a new one fitted then had a pumpin g over problem. Since then we've limped along turning hot and cold on seperately. Then the hot water constantly pumped over so used the immersion. This last week the heating has pumped over, but we were due to be...

From the f/e tank This was replaced by plastic piping, when system was replaced in 2005 (new boiler and rads and flushed through about 3 times with Fernox treatments. Definitely not the coil through the cylinder then? Thank you for replying to my post.

    Still Pumping over..but new approach

On-going saga started here //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1429824#1429824 Since the heat exchanger was checked and the new valves were put in, we have limped along using the heat only or the ch only, until better weather so that we could have the system powerflushed...

How should a pump be fitted?

The heating only came on this morning (thermostat on cylinder is turned to off at the moment) and seemed to be fine. A Homeserve boiler engineer came this morning and reckons that the heat exchanger is working fine. He tested it with some electric thing and said there was hardly a drop in...

How should a pump be fitted?

Scotcheg what do you mean by "where the c/f and o/v enters" please? Been having a think, it says in the Micron book that to service you check the heat exchanger, and as it was serviced in November wouldn't Homeserve have noticed this? They've always said the boiler was very clean. Can...
