    Shower/tub pressure

    I just replaced piping(1/2 inch copper to shower/ tub. The only change I can see that I made was, there was a four inch piece with a cap on it coming off the cold and hot lines near supply to tub. Could these four inch pieces be necessary for an increase in pressure? Kitchen and bathroom faucets...

    I eliminated a four inch piece with a cap on it, in both hot and cold lines during installation of new piping(1/2 inch copper) to my shower. Now I have very little pressure, cold these four inch pieces connected off the supply be needed for an increase in pressure?
