If external controls ok then gas valve has probably failed. They are the old Mclaren type valves which are now obselete. Hope i'm wrong you'll have a job getting one, although I did see one for sale on Ebay the other week. I am not the seller by the way.

Boiler works fine but blue power light will not illuminate. Light does flash in service mode and when boiler is powered on/off so I know that it works. According to the book the light should stay on constant to indicate power. Now following a service I have no blue power light. Can anyone advise?

I too have the same problem on my Greenstar 28i junior. Blue light was on, now after a service it's off and the boiler still operates as normal. Can this light be turned on or off? The light will come on briefly as the boiler is powered off/on at the fused spur and flashes during service mode so...
