Baxi combo instant 105e - heat exchanger pipes

Instead of getting the baxi/pott ones, get chaffoteux ones for the brittony combi. Same o-rings, half the price.

    main combi 24 HE

If i was a landlord, I'd be cheap if i'd paid out for 5 PCBs to idiots who don't know what they're doing. What you're describing are classic symptoms of a blocked plate heat exchanger, Boiler Repair 101. It could be a few other things, gubbed thermistor being next in line, but blocked phex is...

potterton boiler not getting hot water just warm

Ha ha! That's where I'm from! In Rochester at the mo but moving back to the 'gate in the new year. Down most weekends. Yeah, you could give it a whirl. Like I say, it could be one of few things but without being in front of the boiler it's hard to be sure. It's the one on the pipe on the left.

potterton boiler not getting hot water just warm

If you mean the plate heat exchanger (as this is often the cause of hot/cold hw), unlikely if the CH is affected as well. It could be one of a few different things but just from what you've said and without being there to observe and test, I'd go for primary NTC. Where in Kent are you?

Boiler does not start - unless increase pump speed -

Since he said Potterton, I'm going for a Suprima with a dodgy flow switch.

GQ 30CXi - no water filler knob after repair - how to fill?

I HATE those fillers. Got very wet twice from them as the stem breaks very easily and you don't realise you're twisting out the mechanism til it's too late. If you do get them back, get them to put on an external one.

    Boiler recommendation help

I'd go for a system boiler and thermal store such as an ACV on that system.

    power shower temperature control

Pauley, please start your own thread and you'll get some help I'm sure. Your systems may be entirely different so it'll get confusing. However, guess off the bat, yes, as Pauley says, you have a system with unbalanced supplies. Mains cold but gravity hot or unbalanced supplies with an...

New loft radiators cold: balance whole system?

Balancing may sort it, the new rads being the furthest, I'm assuming, from the boiler, therefore being starved of heat by the other rads. If you wanted to get it sorted without having to wait, balancing is in the FAQs. However, it might also be how he run in the pipework for the rads. As a...

Second hand heat exchanger - is it worth trying?

Sounds like an unvented system with a system boiler would be better in that case, for the size of the property. That way you get stored hw but at mains pressure (assuming you have good pressure where you are). No need for tanks in the loft, although a bit more space in the airing cupboard will...

Second hand heat exchanger - is it worth trying?

Interpart (Baxi/Pott own spares company), i find, are the best for availability of spares of their own boilers. The combi 80 will have spares for years and years to come. Usual BG on commission new boiler trick. Cancel yr contract and get a decent independent in who knows boilers, or get Heateam...

New CDis are supplied with them as standard.

Performa 28 - CH, but no DHW

You may not have to change the divertor as it passing could've been caused by the ripped diaphragm so may be solved too. Test again by running a hot tap for a bit on a cold CH system and feeling the larger lefthand pipe about a metre away from the boiler.

Has your local council got a Fair Trader scheme or someting similar? Is your hot water set to constant?

Vented cylinder, hot and cold water spitting out.

Get in the loft and make sure the vent pipe outlet isnt submerged in the tank water.
