    converting the system to fully pumped is just not an option right now... is the general consensus that an indirect cylinder designed for fully pumped just won't work with a gravity system?

    many thanks, twgas - will be going ahead on monday now, all being well - really appreciate your assistance - indeed, to all who have responded, thank you. the plan is convert the sytem to y plan soon, but just need to get the cylinder changed as a matter of urgency - very bad corrosion round...

    sorry to sound so dumb... do you mean that the tee should be level with the cylinder connection - presumably so any air goes up the vent? thanks,

    What i meant was, I'm not sure what twgas meant when he said the pipe "must not rise from the tee to the cylinder"... what is the orientation of the tee and which direction does it go to get up to the F&E cistern?
