Fitting replacement toilet, problems with soil pipe?

Hi, Thanks again for all the replies. A few things: 1.Yes, I think the soil pipe is just plastic. 2.On the post from TicklyT showing the 90d pipe, the end with the flex on it looks like it needs to fit over the soil pipe, not in it, is this correct, as the soil pipe is flush on the wall...

Fitting replacement toilet, problems with soil pipe?

Measured the circumference with a piece of string and converted it to find the diameter. External diameter appears to be 4.45", so internal is maybe 4"?

Fitting replacement toilet, problems with soil pipe?

I'm not sure what the existing soil pipe is, but it's pretty solid, and yes it would need angle grinding for definite. The picture of that 90d flexible pan connector - looking at the end of the connector, it looks like it's too big to fit inside the soil pipe and would need to go around it...

Fitting replacement toilet, problems with soil pipe?

Thanks for the reply. The toilet I am looking at has an outlet centre of 190mm (plus 7-8mm of ply and vinyl), will make it around 25mm higher than it currently is. I don't think the soil pipe connector currently attached will twist high enough to fit this new height and still be a secure fit...

Fitting replacement toilet, problems with soil pipe?

Hi, I am replacing my existing toilet and think I may come across problems. The soil pipe is fixed and quite low and flush to the wall with a small connector pipe to the toliet, the toilet I have appears to have quite a low waste pipe (centre is approx. 175mm for floor), but as I am laying...

Potterton Promax HE 15-Lights then ignition lockout-see pic

Hi, Came home to a cold house, reset on/off switch on boiler, fires up straight away but then flame goes out after about 3 seconds. Retries automatically several times before ignition lock out occurs (flame always fires up but then goes out after 3 seconds). Have reset power on/off about...

(NOW FIXED) Potterton Promax 15/24 HE - ignition lock out

FIXED! Opened it all up and saw there was sparking coming from the back of the ignition board. Took it out and noticed the neutral point where the connector plugged in had a dry joint (as did a couple of others). Re-flowed and working perfectly...nice to have some warmth back.

(NOW FIXED) Potterton Promax 15/24 HE - ignition lock out

Hi, Anyway, it appears I have ignition lock out. Boiler tries to ignite, fan starts, sounds of relays clicking away (sometimes a clunk), fan slows and stops....boiler attempts to ignite again as previously... fan starts, clicking and sometimes clunking...slows and stops. This happens...

Fault started occuring within a few days (didn't recognise it as a fault at first as a simple off&on sorted it out), it gradually became worse over the course of 4 weeks.

    Potterton Promax 15 HE/24 HE

Hi, Recently had a service, since which my boiler has been playing up. Tries to fire up, (sounds of clicking relay). No luck. This happens about six times before it no longer attempts, and I have to switch it on and off to get it to try and start up again. Usually no luck, switch it on and...
