New flat roof for the kitchen

Hi I have just had a new flat roof fitted for the kitchen. The original building was built in the 1970s. A torch-on green slate top sheet was used and torch on underlay was also used. Already, when the sheet is brushed, tiny pieces from the top sheet are becoming loose and coming off. No...

    Which camera is better?

Also can you recommend a product so I can increase the length of the BNC and power cable wire by around 15cm minimum. It is fine at the moment but I would like to have some lack on the DVR and camera side. Thanks

    Which camera is better?

At night the picture is clear enough but in my circumstance its pointless anyway. The picture seems to be fine with stock rotation. It is only covering wine + snacks etc.

    Which camera is better?

OK installed the "nasty toot" camera today and honestly it is pretty good. I can distinguish between the goods and identify what is being taken by customers so all is well. Nonetheless I appreciate all your help on this problem. Cheers guys!

Is it worth having a system that will ring you up?

Even if it does ring you when you're far away you can disable the alarm from your mobile and then ring your neighbours or somebody nearby to check your property.

    Which camera is better?

Less than 5 mtrs to be honest. In fairness I've been using some CMOS cameras for around 10 years and they weren't THAT bad. Installed a free camera in another location which was actually pretty good and it was only 420 TVL. I don't need any high spec stuff. Just something that will be clear...

    Which camera is better?

This is for a lighted area inside a retail shop. Just to get a good enough picture of people who go past etc and for deterrence. Doesn't have to be vandal proof etc. Regular customers etc. At night time there is some lighting too but not too fussed over night recording anyway.

    which DVR should I choose?

If you do go for the XDR from CCTVDirect its much cheaper to get the hard drive yourself. You can easily get a 2tb branded HDD for roughly £60 and install it yourself instead of spending £190.

Converting multi point lock on a composite door to std lock?

The difference between middle of cylinder to middle of lower spindle hole is 7cm and 9cm for the upper spindle hole. As you can see the handles are not reversible unless I manage to move the spindle hole on one of the handles. Thank you
