    Yes, 80-100 lol OK, so doing iit the traditional way will not let the rain between the vertical joins? Also,do I use bitumen even on the overlap areas?

    Thanks conny, so i just leave 800-100mm overhang to the right/left each time they join, just as I would if joining sheets vertically?

    Hi all, Just sense-checking my plan to felt a corner summerhouse. I was going to lay the felt from the bottom of the roof - using bitumen and tacks - and move towards the top centre of the roof, overlapping by 100mm as I go. Just wondered whether I should be approach it differently...

    Thank you to everyone who replied, I appreciate your help, advice and banter :o) I have a plumber coming to sort this as it's time for a new stopcock I think. I appreciate the good natured and helpful way you all use this forum; it's a welcoming and useful place.

    Thank you Pete. The water is dripping from the area circled - so would you not recommend loosening that nut to see if I could apply some tape? I do not have an outside stopcock (no water meter so I do not know how I could isolate it). I want to see whether I could stop the seaping easily...

    I'm looking to stop my stopcock leaking. It's a steady seeping rather than a drip, but it's only going to get worse. My question is can I just turn off the stopcock and loosen the glandnut to see if I need to add some P.T.F.E. tape? You'll see from the attached where the water is coming from...
