Just to close off this thread, thanks GalaxyGuy for the tips and advice regarding my system both in the thread and by PM/Chat. I have replaced A083-00-01 with the newer A083-00-02 following GalaxyGuy advice and hope that the fault no longer appears and the Ethernet card stays connected to the...

Honeywell Flex 20 - Network and Pulsing Siren

So the information I have is FX20 V3.18 Ethernet 100% CM04 V1.02 From what you have said my internet failing and me getting the remote login wrong several times locking myself out of the panel for a time are both massive coincidences with the alarm trigger and later in the evening the...

Honeywell Flex 20 - Network and Pulsing Siren

Hi, Hopefully someone can help with this issue I had yesterday.... It started when my home router lost power, sometime later my studio (a separately alarmed building) started alarming. My wife went to reset it and told me it said something about Com 4. When I got home from work I had a look at...

    New Alarm Help... Please

Just to clarify, when I said it does not need many zones.... I am not bothered if it has the facility for 12+ zones, I don't have to use them! Just trying to provide as many facts as possible. For PIR's the Bosch Blue Line Gen 2 BLD2 TriTech Blueline Detector sound good? Any comments...

Timber Garden Office - Wall noggins or not?

All the play are 8x4 sheets. I appreciate your comments and suggestions, however I am trying to keep the room with every inch of space I can. I made the walls out of 50x100 timber C16/C24 to ensure I have a depth for the insulation and also strength to support the roof. All timer and ply...

Timber Garden Office - Wall noggins or not?

I am building a garden office, timber construction, insulated with plasterboard walls finish. You can see from the photo below I stared fitting noggins in the walls corners and around the doorway, I then halted this to get the roof on asap due to the weather. I have the timber here to fit...

    Roof timber

I am unable to help with your questions, however recently I was looking for the difference between OSB 2 and 3 and found this information... Four grades of OSB are defined in EN 300 in terms of their mechanical performance and relative resistance to moisture. These are: OSB/1 - General...

Re: Timber garden office vapour barrier

Just to assist with my explanation regarding roof ventilation above. Front Joist over hang, I assume I will need to trim out the membrane to allow free air flow under roof deck, was thinking of fixing batons along the front and using the cladding offcuts (opposite way to the wall)...

Re: Timber garden office vapour barrier

Thanks once again. Yes my roof is a cold deck design and will have a 50mm air gap at one end and 150mm air gap at the other end, so a minimum of 50mm gap between the ply and the insulation anywhere on the roof. The joists overhang the outer ply wall by 100mm at the rear (bottom of the...

Re: Timber garden office vapour barrier

Same subject but different area of the office.... I have the joists and furrings in place with 18mm ply as the roof deck, once complete I plan to cover the deck with Firestone EPDM Heavy Duty 1.52mm Membrane stuck directly to the ply. Like the walls I intend to use foil backed plasterboard...

Re: Timber garden office vapour barrier

Thank you for your assistance alastairreid This is the garden office wall construction thanks to your assistance. Just in case anyone wonders why the battens stop short of the top of the wall, it is because some work needs to be undertaken to finish the roof section before the cladding...
