Genius required aspa re: Pulsacoil 2000 ongoing problem.

Why bother replying with that? The reason I didn't "listen" is that I paid for specialist pulsacoil people to come and they told me there was nothing wrong with the stats. That's why I was extremely grateful to those who helped me. I didn't want to be wasting my money paying others to rip me...

Ok, I'm back! Oh no! Boiler was working well (replaced thermostat in the end did it). Anyway, I checked the plastic tank on the top of the Pulsacoil 2000 the other day and it was well down. After topping it up to the line my hot water has been rubbish. Literally straight after topping it...

oven not working! Experts, please help!

Think it is the same switch as there is nothing else near it. Has anyone got any ideas before I have to call someone out to look at it?

oven not working! Experts, please help!

Hi, thanks again for the replies. the oven is a built in thing. The switch behind the oven, if switched, turns the hob on and off. there is no FCU like the one you have shown in your post Other appliances like the fridge and washing machine do have these, but the oven doesn't.

oven not working! Experts, please help!

Thanks - excuse my ignorance, but is an FCU likely to be a plastic plate with a biggish red switch on it? If so, is it likely to have a fuse? If it is this, would the electric hob not be working (as it does work)?

oven not working! Experts, please help!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I turned the red switch next to the oven off and then back on after 30 mins. I will flick the fuse for the oven in the fuse box to make sure the power is off for 30 mins for sure. Thanks again. If it is the board is that a big/expensive fix?

oven not working! Experts, please help!

Hi, I have a Whirlpool oven, type FCSM6, and it has suddenly stopped working. There is nothing working apart from the hob. The oven doesn't turn on, nor does the LED display show anything… If it worth anything, mu partner left it on the part of the dial that is a short, straight...

Genius required aspa re: Pulsacoil 2000 ongoing problem.

Why doubts? The integrity is more like my lack of knowledge terminology etc and I may have been unclear explaining myself/what's happening. If I knew, I wouldn't be asking for help on here. I have paid £200 already and tried to get closer to a resolution without getting someone else in...

That is what I thought - think he has given up on me. Don't blame him, apologies my lack of knowledge. That is why I am here. Thanks for all your help. I don't fancy paying another couple £100 for a part and labour that I don't need.

No, it all looks good, clean and quite new in there. No loose wires or anything.

when i put the new controller on I changed the time so the off peak came on the controller. No noise like the kettling sound the boost makes. The unit 'hums' intermittently and the pcb makes a buzzing sound at the same time as this humming. Is this normal?

No, cos I don't know what to look for, that's why I got them in. I watched them put testers on the unit thing.

Ah, no. That is the existing box that I put my new controller straight on/into? I can remove the front and have a look. What, specifically, am I looking for?

Genius required aspa re: Pulsacoil 2000 ongoing problem.

Ah, ok. Well as far as I know it does. Two engineers have looked at it, both from companies who specialise in Pulsacoils..and both said it has no faults..

Genius required aspa re: Pulsacoil 2000 ongoing problem.

Hi, Ok, the new controller just arrived and I have got it on! The boost button did exactly what the previous controller did, the unit made that distinctive kettling noise.. When I got the off peak to come on there is no sound - should there be any sound? Should it be easily heard...
