Scaff board floor - what nail?

Good or bad, it's too late to start again! I think that my choice is now massive pilots, or switching to screws or wire nails.

Scaff board floor - what nail?

It seems to be happening all along all the joists so far. It should be good quality 5x2. From a reputable independent trade place.

Scaff board floor - what nail?

I could use a longer drill bit but if I go over 3mm, the pilot will be wider than the flat side of the nail...

Scaff board floor - what nail?

Interesting. The more I think about it, the more I think the 65mm floor brads will be enough. Minimum 25mm penetration into the joists. I have also seen people glue and nail. So, what if I do 65mm brads and tight bond?

Scaff board floor - what nail?

Definitely a no to go with the 65mm brads then? Thay would give 25 - 30 mm penetration into the joist...
