    Wire panel heater

I've just bought a 1.5kw panel heater. I want to test it before hard wiring as it means moving a lot of stuff around. Can I run it for an hour or two thru a 13a plug? The instructions say don't do it but I can't see what the problem is.

After he left my wife decided that she didn't like the socket where it was - so I chased in a 10 inch run to the other side of the hood, extended the spur by means of a block, and put a blank plate on the original. Am I right in thinking that this...

    Earth to back box first

I'm replacing plastic with metal plates. The existing earths run to the back box first and then run a fly to the back of the plate. Is it ok to leave this arrangement for metal plates?
