    OK Sounds like common sense to me. The junction in is about 4 feet away vertically from where i want to wire the hood, so diagonal wiring not an issue here. Thanks for your help

    Yes i could probably do both of these but why not spur from the actual cooker outlet? I don't understand why not. It seams common sense and there is plenty of amps so as not to trip the fuse box when all appliances are being used at the same time. We are only talking about an extra 128W of power...

What i was looking at was to run a spur from the junction that goes direct to the cooker so that when the cooker is switch on at the CCU the hood is automatically switched...
