Have been advised of the following:- Hotmail and Gmail require SSL authentication for transmission via their SMTP servers which Texbase is not able to provide. Still working on a solution.

I know with my NAS device it emails me OK through my gmail and hotmail/outlook accounts but it has an additional field for the port number. I will give Texecom a call. Thanks for the help. Paul

I've tried various email accounts but the email status shows as failed in Texbase. I know these accounts work as my Netgear ReadyNas Duo sends alerts to these accounts, so I presume this rules out a router issue? I have turned off windows firewall (Win7 Ultimate) and my ESET anti-virus software...

In the end I went for the Texecom Premier Elite 48. I receive text alerts via the Com2400, and hopefully email alerts via the ComIP, Montex and Texbase are up and running, just need to sort out the email delivery method.
