Big shed behind shop - commercial PD?

And in case any one else ever googles this up, I think the answer is in The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 Permitted development H. The erection, extension or alteration of an industrial building or a warehouse. Development not permitted H.1...

Big shed behind shop - commercial PD?

But then I saw this, is there any chance he could just connect his shed to the building and call it an extension, or knock it down and build a real extension? 7.13 A permitted development right which makes permanent the time limited increased permitted development rights introduced in May 2013...

Big shed behind shop - commercial PD?

Cheers woody. If I understand it; residential PD relates to a "dwellinghouse" and by govt definition: “dwellinghouse”, except in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this Order (changes of use), does not include a building containing one or more flats, or a flat contained within such a building...

Big shed behind shop - commercial PD?

Here is a complicated one, a shop with flat over, the shop owns the garden and has built a big wooden shed in the garden with no sign of a planning application. Would that be commercial or residential PD? The shed looks about 3m x 5m, perhaps a little larger, there is about 1m clearance to...

Is there such a thing as a part p cert

Ah I see what you mean, the original feeds to the two flats come out of the supply fuse (100A?) and just disappear into conduits. That is what was there, must have been 'right' once. I suppose they are protected in the conduits, but it would be hard to get a larger cable into the conduit...

Is there such a thing as a part p cert

I have the answer now, I got the tenant to email me a photo, it is better than expected, when I was discussing this on the phone with the electrician we talked about 1.5 CSA (maybe he said 2.5), but it seems he fitted proper cables anyway. You can see the new thick grey cables coming out of...

Is there such a thing as a part p cert

Getting me worried now! Job 1 - New consumer unit. Just on a year ago now and no Part P cert, it is a BTL so my guess is if NICEIC sent the cert to the tenant, I can imagine where that got filed. So I will pay the tenner and get a copy - sorted. Job 2 - Improve consumer unit...

Is there such a thing as a part p cert

Nope, but I just found you can search by address on the niceic website, it is there but they want a tenner to send it to me, do they charge the electrician, hence his reluctance? Do you mean before or after? A fully qualified electrician put a new mini consumer unit on what was a low...

Is there such a thing as a part p cert

Sorry I know the answer must be in one of the many long Part P threads, TL;DR as they say. I got an electrician (validated on www.electricalcompetentperson.co.uk) to fit an new consumer unit, I got only the 3 page domestic electrical installation certificate (DCP5). Should I get some...
