Ferroli Optimax HE plus 31c diverter valve leaking (again)

Hi Agile, It was fitted in 2010. We inherited this in 2012. The diverter valve has gone three times, the water filter was fitted on the wrong pipe, even if it was on the right pipe you couldn't service it (no room to get in the top). Before we moved in I think there was also a problem with...

Ferroli Optimax HE plus 31c diverter valve leaking (again)

The end to this story is the fitting of a Vaillant EcoTec plus 831 with a 7 year warranty. Good to be free of the Ferrolli, if not a bit lighter in the wallet area.

Bathroom extractor fan to roof tile vent

Hi Ian - just on this: "Just one thing......Make sure the circuitry is above, not below the fan. Read the reviews, some users have had wet circuit boards due to condensation if fitted that way." The circuit board is set under the fan in a panel with two screws, with the fixing's for the...

Bathroom extractor fan to roof tile vent

Cheers. That's what I was leaning too as it just made more sense. Would there be a preference to use solid plastic ducting rather than flexi? Last question, any recommendation for an inline fan for such a short run. Would need one with a run on timer, fairly quiet and the bathroom is...

Ferroli Optimax HE plus 31c diverter valve leaking (again)

Thanks again. Yeah I had that mixed up in my head. Pressure is normally at 1 to 1.2 bar, never any higher than 1.5. So as you said in the first reply, probably just because they are poor quality.

Ferroli Optimax HE plus 31c diverter valve leaking (again)

Thanks Andytw. I guess I meant the supply of cold water that feeds into the diverter, although this passes (I think) through a flow meter and a cold water flow limiter, before reaching the diverter. Oh and the black input taps for the CH system (to adjust pressure). Therefore high pressure...

Ferroli Optimax HE plus 31c diverter valve leaking (again)

Hi, We moved into a house with a Ferroli boiler two years ago. The diverter valve has leaked twice (split) and therefore has been replaced twice. It's happening again as it's just started leaking. I believe that the water pressure may be causing this (according to the last guy who...

Bathroom extractor fan to roof tile vent

Hi, Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find the answer. Our bathroom has no window, but an old inline fan in the loft which extracts from a vent in center of the room. The fan needs replacing as it's not powerful enough (and it sounds shot). It's just venting...
