Looks like the screw is knackered, can't get any head to grip. Will just have to pop to a DIY shop tomorrow and buy a new valve.

I've just tried pulling the red plastic tap from the washer but can't seem to get it off to try and get it on the dishwasher, although I don't have much room to play with

Yes I have a hot and cold tap near the washer. Only the cold is in use by it though. Will the tap transfer to the dishwasher pipe?

Thanks for the quick reply but what can I turn it with? Can I just buy a new tap from the shop and connect it or is there an easier way? It's threaded for a screw etc
