Thanks for the replies, i think the insulation was for elsewhere rather than the floor, but i questioned weather some was needed under the floor. His reply was not really but it could help with sound proofing so he will put some under.

Can this insulation be used in a loft conversion? My builder is planning to place it under the floorboards etc, however reading up on it, it says its for metal clad buildings. Thanks.
