I loaded the OS disk, the display was very bold and odd looking?? My wireless Internet wouldn't work either? Is it the "drivers and utilities" disk that you mean? I put this disk in but it didn't load anything more of an info disk on what is installed on the laptop.

Hello I've replaced my dell laptop hard drive. Can someone tell what to next in terms what CDs have to be installed aswell pls.

Yeah I've heard off that, I think yours might have been a software problem where as mine seems to be a mechanical problem where they have to physically fix the hard drive first then try and retrieve the data. I'll see what they say and let you know thanks for the replies.

I have sent it off for a free diagnosis now I'll see what they come back with. I'm in Romford so thats ok, did your drive have a mechanical fault??

Hello I've been told my laptop hard drive has a mechanical fault. I need to send it to a company that can retrieve data from hard drives that are broken. Can anyone recommend a company and does anyone know how much this cost???? Thanks

i'll bond the pipes then check all the sockets to make sure they are connected properly hopefully that will sort it, cheers

the breaker? so is it probably down to my sockets not being connected properly???

pick some beers up! if the sockets are incorrectly wired i.e neutral in the live wouldn't this trip it?

its only a couple of hours drive from birmingham can't you come down and see if the bonding has been done outside of my flat?????

if it is a live to earth fault why isn't the breaker tripping? i'll have to check whether there is still voltage there when i turn the fuse board off, im sure i did check that when i turn't it off and there wasn't any voltage?

it is in a purpose built flat so is my mains water supply bonded outside my flat?

what could cause the sink to have voltage?

how does the voltage come out the screw???

when i touch a screw on one of my sockets in the kitchen and put my hand on the sink i get an electric shock without my breaker tripping?
