    Outdoor cable

I'm confused by your comment and @DetlefScmitz; If I buy this - https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-hdct4513bq-4-xd-13a-4-gang-45m-cable-reel-240v/47295 I'll still need to cut off the 4 way reel to connect into the IP65 junction box. Is that a better solution then (and 'terminated'...

Standard electrical cable. I’ve got leftover Prysman 2.5mm so was thinking of using that.

    Outdoor cable

I need to run a temporary socket outside for Christmas lights. I need to run the cable about 20m and so was intending to use standard 2.5mm 3 core. The plug will be plugged inside the house, and I was then going to put the socket in a wall mounted IP65 case outside. Will this be ok or do I need...

    Cracks

Over the last month we’ve seen cracks developing horizontally along the walls internally and externally. The cracks seem to be running from the corner of the door into the garden and the window on the adjoining wall. The cracks on the outside don’t mirror exactly the cracks on the inside but...

    Renovating bathroom

Thanks. I think if I start knocking the plaster off it will all end up coming off based on experience in other rooms. I was intending to dot and dab with aqua board of that is the case. Would that work. The brickwork is actually breeze block rather than standard red brick.

Water pressure & flow in the bathroom

That would help wouldn't it!! I get 7-8ltr per min on the hot which then drops to 2ltr per min when the cold is turned on.

Water pressure & flow in the bathroom

Hi All, We moved into our house about 6 months ago and are slowly renovating. We removed the old header tank and hot water tank as we want the rook space, wanted the airing cupboard back and wanted on demand hot water all of the time. So, installed a WB combi. We are about to replace the whole...

    Concrete kitchen worksurfaces

Hi, I've tried several mortar and cement products and whilst finish is ok, they aren't giving the smooth finish I am after. So hoping levelling compound will. What would you suggest instead? Cheers.

    Concrete kitchen worksurfaces

Hi, I've read some great threads on here and other places about kitchen counter tops but have two questions. For various reasons I'm laying concrete directly onto exisiting counters. Gone perfectly well but I want to finish with a final layer of self levelling compound. Question 1 - is there...
