    Double oven installation

Good evening. A few weeks ago an electrician fitted my new double oven. He ran a new radial circuit fom my consumer unit for this (the length of cable used roughly 10m). On looking today, I noticed that he has used 30A fuse wire in the cartridge fuse. As the oven is rated 4.4kw, is the fuse...

    Programmable Roomstat

Thanks for answers so far. The boiler is a Baxi 80e combination & the roomstat is a Honeywell CM67. The stat appears to call for heat when it is actually at the desired temperature already, and therefore the boiler probably runs for 5 mins or so every 15-20 mins. The instructions aren't...

    Programmable Roomstat

Good afternoon. I don't think this is a problem as such, but I'd like your opinions. I replaced a simple roomstat with a digital programmable one a few days ago. The new one appears to be far more sensitive/responsive than the old on. Consequently, heat is now demanded from the boiler on...

    Baxi 80 Eco problem

In response to ChrisR's comment/question: The tripping occurs when the boiler switches off at the end of timer program period (or if I switch it off manually at the boiler). By "switches off" I mean that the central heating was actually running at the time the timer program ends. I have...

    Baxi 80 Eco problem

I have thought of a further thing today which may help with a diagnosis (or maybe a seperate problem altogether!): When a central heating demand occurs, it often takes several attempts for the boiler to fire successfully. With DHW the boiler lights first time, every time. Thanks, Dan

    Baxi 80 Eco problem

Hello. I've got a problem with my Baxi 80 Eco combination boiler. Occasionally it "trips out". Information which may be useful: 1) The boiler is 2 years old. 2) The problem only appears to happen when the central heating is on & demanding heat, AND when this is then interrupted by...
