    Weyroc boards

Hi, Been to look at a job that has Weyroc boards. Am I correcty in thinking that this is laminate covered chip board? If so what would be the correct steps for tiling, should it be treated as chipboard or ply??? Would obviously be using flexi adhesive & grout. Andy PS - The floor...

    Laying Floor Tiles

You could also use BAL's PTB adhesive (pourable thick bed). Its good for filling dips in floors and will go up to 25mm i think. Also as you mix it up to a "pourable" mix it will ensure that you get a 100% bed for your tiles which you will require if they are thin.

Tiling around a bath ... advice please

As you are using glass tiles, you should also make sure your adhesive is white and has 100% coverage otherwise you might see the wall or adhesive through the tile. Also agree with the others re leaving a small gap above the bath (eg 1 2mm spacer). Andy

    There is a leak somwhere....help / advice?!!?

I would presume that if your bill is double then we are talking about a serious quantity of water. Just imagine all the water you use for baths, showers, washing up, washing machine etc in one week and then try to imagine not seeing it if it was under your sink! If you had a small leak in your...

Tiling Layout - Advice and Opinions

I would also level out the bath first as you may see the 2.5cm drop over the length of the bath. I have tiled a number of bathrooms with plain tiles and a band of mosaics in each case I planned that the moasics went in line with the shower bar. I found it easier to arrange the mosaics around...

    Bathroom Sink Waste - I'm weeping !

So basically, i presume there isn't any preferred method of making a water tight seal its a case of using your own preferred "gunk" (plumbers mate, silicon etc) to make a seal? Thanks for your replies anyway. Andy

    Bathroom Sink Waste - I'm weeping !

Install pipework for exposed thermostatic mixer shower

Did a couple of installations like this myself recently and used a shower bar wall plate (tool station) as previously mentioned. I took the plasterboard off the wall, added some new timber to support the plate at the screw holes. I calcualted the thickness of the board, tiles and adhesive and...

    fitting a mixer shower

Did a similar job myself - Presume that if you have a combi then you don't have a tank in your airing cupboard? I would chase the pipework back from the bath/sink taps to a point closest to where you want to fit your mixer. Presume also that as you have a combi then the hot and cold are at mains...

Hi, Changing out an old WC and have some problems with the new WC and the soil pipe. The existing soil pipe and WC is in the corner of the bathroom. The soil pipe exits through a solid wall and is about 6" away from the rear wall (pipe runs parallel to rear wall). My problem is...
