I'm seriously considering taking the Part P course. Last year I passed my ACS assessments after spending a couple of years at college. Since then I've been installing central heating. The heating engineer I work with isn't Part P, therefore he has to get an electrician in to fit fused spurs...

The pump has been continuously running for at least a couple of hours now. The boiler fires up but then goes off after approx one minute. The flow pipe to the mid pos valve is hot but cold the otherside. (the coil in the cylinder) I have tried turning room stat on but nothing happens. Also...

Problem now resolved!! :D It was the mid-position valve which was faulty, unfortunately had to remove the whole valve as the new head would'nt fit on valve body which meant having to drain down system again. :( Thanks for all your replies.

Thanks for your replies. Electrician has changed the cylinder stat and also the programmer twin channel. On consultatiohn with Worcester Bosch Technical they asked for electrician to disconnect switched live to boiler control board, on testing with his meter he found voltage that sould not be...

I wonder if anybody can help me, I'd be most grateful. I have just installed a Worcester 24ri system boiler which is on a Y-Plan system. Everything seems to be working fine until I turn the room stat down. The pump remains on (as it should do) but the burner also remains lit and will not...

Could anybody please explain or post a link on how to decommission central heating systems (vented and unvented) in the correct procedure. I can't find the relevant information anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers :)
