Ho do you join 6mm twin and earth to 6mm armoured under the 1st floor boards inside a house? Its going to the shed but need to join to the 6mm twin and earth thats already inside the house?

Its about 30 metres in cable terms from the CU to the shed. Intention is to run a double socket and an interior light from it, with the possibility of adding outside light(s) and possibly a pond pump at a later date.

Am considering running a power supply to my shed. I have been told that 2.5mm SWA will be ok for a socket and a light (thats all that will fit in it!!). Is this correct or am I better off going for 4mm or 6mm SWA???

Many thanks Tanglewood. Its all being done by an electrician as a favour he owes me. Being a spanner wielding mech fitter the most I know about electricity is you have to pay for it!! Many thanks for the reply, very much appreciated!

Sorry to be a pain the backside, but! I`m looking to put a new shower in our downstairs bathroom. The cable run will be approximately 10 metres in length. The shower is (hopefully) going to be 10.5KW. My question is this, would 10 mm twin and earth cable be ok or am I better off going for...
