Thanks. I'll check. I've done one with a band around before, no probs. Don't seem to recall replacing the seal...must have been a silicone seal bodge :-)

I have heard that it is a nightmare replacing bearings on some machines. I'm reasonably mechanically competent, having replaced a drum bearing before and many motrocycle bearings. Is the Servis Rainwave 1100 (M991W) an easy one to do or a real pig?
